As Diamond Painters, we know how much dedication and love goes into each project. So when it comes to gifting, we think DIY presents are the best! There is nothing more special than giving a craft from the heart.
We’ve walked you through how to turn your leftover diamonds into Christmas decorations, household décor, and fun crafts. This week, we’re going to show you how to turn your drills into gifts, thanks to submissions from the wonderful folks in our Paint With Diamonds Support Group .
9. Create a Freeform Painting
You can create your own Diamond Art using leftover gems! Annie Lastar created these designs by using leftover diamonds and following traditional Cross Stitch patterns. Simple yet stunning!
8. Craft a Customized Bracelet
“Found something else to do with leftover Diamond Paintings. Resin bracelets. My great-granddaughter loves them!” says Barbara Gilliland. You can either mix together your gems or organize them by color to create a personalized creation. Stunning!
7. Decorate Personalized Letter
Lots of craft stores sell wooden letters. You can buy the letters of your loved one’s name or initials to create a gift like no other! Cindy Stein went all out and designed these elaborate patterns. We love the butterfly too. Great work!
Although we love intricate designs, the simple approach is just as beautiful. Barbara Linville used her leftover diamonds to decorate these letters for her granddaughter. It’s a gorgeous decoration for a wall or nightstand.
6. Send a Message of Love
There’s nothing better than telling someone you love them. Laura Wallace put her extra gems on heartwarming frames, letters, and decór. It's the perfect Valentine’s Day gift!
5. Bling Out a Jewelry Chest
What better way to hold diamonds than a Diamond Painting jewelry chest? Louise Badkin’s dazzling chest is the perfect gift for all jewelry lovers.
4. Personalize a Phone Case
For your friend who is always on the phone- why not customize a phone case? Every time they take a call or send a message, their heart will be warm with love. Beth Horne McNair phone case design is a straightforward way to make a cute case.
3. Embellish Gifts
Every gift is better with some sparkle! Julie Joly Edwards enhanced her “World’s Best Mom” sign with her leftover diamonds. World’s best gift!
2. Sparkle Some Shoes
Give your loved ones shiny shoes to step out into the world in style! Sarah Perrone started decorating her shoes with her leftover gems, and we think they look positively perfect. Fancy footwear= fantastic gift!

Aleens sticky tack is what I would use. Haven’t tried it yet but I use it for other projects.

To stick extra diamonds to a new project. I use clear contact. I print a picture onto it and just fill in the dots from there.

Once I’ve completed my work I use the leftover dots to make some simple homemade projects such as mirror surrounds. Or to bling up photo frames. I’ve even made a melted dots project. Only slightly melting them and running thru with a skewer to swirl into patterns.

I am too wondering what the people used for adhesive when making their own DIY projects with their leftover diamonds. After making about 7 or 8 diamond art projects, I have a lot of these diamonds left over. As, I’m a natural packrat, I would like to use them in a project. Appreciate any and all help. Thanks in advance.

Joanne’s carries a product called DOTZ STICK – 4 oz of dotting adhesive. A little goes a loooooooong way and the cost is affordable.

Not exactly a gift, but I used left-over diamonds for decorating the edges of my mother’ burial box. I started it with needlepoint, but decided to do an outline and then fill in with diamonds. It is just going to be buried in the ground but until then it is a beautiful wooden box with needlepoint writing. (My mother is 104 years old with no medical conditions.)
