Mother's Day is finally here! It's the one day a year we all pause to appreciate just how stressed out mom is 🤣

If you're an avid Diamond Painting Mom - a cool mom - I don't have to tell you why this hobby is so wonderful for us overworked matriarchs.

But if you're on the fence about trying Diamond Painting, or need helping convincing your mom, here's why this hobby is a wonderful addition to any mom-life, no matter your age!

1. You can get your kids involved

As a mom, it's downright impossible some days to have just a minute to yourself. That means if you have a hobby that needs 100% of your focus, it's probably not going to happen. You need something that little hands can jump into and join if they want.

Diamond Painting is a hobby the entire family can enjoy (once they get past the point of sticking everything into their mouths 👶). You can get a Diamond Painting kit for each of your children. Then, if they want to join you, they can use their very own kit and you can keep one for yourself (we know just how hard it is to have anything for yourself as a mom).

2. You don't have to get your kids involved

So, I know I just said that you could involve your kids, but the nice thing about Diamond Painting is that you don't have to involve them. As a mom, it's easy to get pulled into all of your hobbies being based around your kids or what their hobbies are.

Diamond Painting is the perfect hobby for moms because it can be just for you. You can pour yourself a glass of wine 🍷, a cup of coffee , or whatever your favorite treat is🥤 and enjoy some precious "me time".

3. You can break it up into little chunks of time

Crafting days tend to be a thing of the past when you have little ones. You probably don't have time to sit down for hours at a time and enjoy a craft or hobby. With Diamond Painting, you can sit down and work at it for 5 minutes and still reap the benefits.

There's just something that feels so good about peeling back a little space to open it up for new diamonds.

4. It's a quiet hobby

You know that feeling when you've finally gotten your kids down for a nap or to bed and you're afraid to make a peep because you're afraid of waking them up? Well, Diamond Painting is the perfect hobby for moms because you can quietly work away at it without fear of waking anyone up.

You can keep everything set up and ready to go. As soon as the kids are sleeping, you can tip toe to your chair, slide in and get to work.

5. It lets you multitask

As a mom, time is precious! You don't get a lot of time to enjoy things for yourself. That means every time you have a few minutes, there are a bunch of things you'd like to do. Call your best friend to catch up on life, listen to the podcast you've been trying to listen to for the past two months, or read a book.

Diamond Painting is great because it can let you multitask as a mom so you can enjoy a few things at once. While you Paint With Diamonds, you can listen to an audiobook or podcast. You can talk on the phone or binge on your favorite Netflix series.

6. It's good for anxiety

Life as a mom can be stressful at times. It's full of responsibility and tough decisions. If you're not careful, your stress and anxiety can start to build up which can make it difficult to keep your patience with your family.

Stress relieving Diamond Painting

Diamond Painting is a great hobby for self-care and to help ease stress and anxiety. It can help you take your mind off your worries and allow you to use up the nervous energy that you may be feeling.

7. It doesn't involve a lot of thinking

At the end of a busy day, you just want to sit down and do something that you can enjoy without having to think so hard. You've spent all day solving problems for people and you just don't want to have to think anymore.

Diamond Painting is fun and easy. There are no tricky steps or obstacles to overcome to get started. Everything you need comes right in the kit, so you can just open it up and get started.

8. It lets you build community

Sometimes it's hard to get out and connect with other adults when you have little ones in the house. You may feel like you don't talk to other adults at all or when you do, it's always about your kids.

Diamond Painting allows you to build a social circle around a shared hobby. We even have a Paint With Diamonds Facebook group where you can connect with other adults that enjoy Diamond Painting. You can meet new friends and share tips, tricks, and enjoy interacting with other grown-ups.

9. It gives you a sense of accomplishment

Have you ever gotten to the end of the day and looked around you and felt like you didn't accomplish anything? If you're a mom, you probably know exactly what I'm talking about. You're surrounded by half-finished projects. It's almost impossible to catch up on the laundry. Every time you have the sink cleared out a new dish magically appears. And let's not even get started on what the kitchen counters look like.

Diamond Painting is a hobby that lets you always see your progress. Even if you only have 5 minutes to sit down and work at it, when those 5 minutes are up , you can see what you've accomplished and how much closer you are to completing it. And eventually, you'll have that glorious moment when you place the last Diamond 💎 and have a completely finished project. 🙌

10. It's super affordable

As moms, we love our children, but they are EXPENSIVE!!! They're always growing out of their clothes, eating through all the food in the house, and signing up for a new activity. Budgets can get tight when you're raising a family. There's not always a lot leftover for you to enjoy something that you want to do.

Diamond Painting is an affordable hobby to start as a busy mom on a budget. And there are a few other ways that Diamond Painting can make a positive impact on your budget:

  • You can give completed and framed Diamond Paintings as gifts
  • Diamond Paintings make great art displays for décor
  • There are super cool ways to repurpose extra diamonds into new crafts and gifts

This means you can spend a little money on your hobby and it can actually save you money in other areas.

These are just 10 of the ways that Diamond Painting is the perfect hobby for moms to get started with. If you're ready to give it a try, you can start browsing through kits right now. Have fun and enjoy!! And if you're already a Diamond Painting expert, share your favorite thing about the hobby in the comments!

I never thought that I would enjoy doing Diamond Art..I have major Anxiety and I work a lot…I done one and thought, no..this isn’t for me! I was very wrong! I ended up buying some just to practice on and to see if I actually enjoyed it and now I’m addicted! Once I get started on one, time slips away from me and I stop and look at the clock and it’s been 8 hours!! I get lost in my painting..I turn on some music and tune everyone and everything out! I LOVE DIAMOND ART!!! And it is very SOOTHING for me!!

I would just add one more – it is very helpful with pain relief. Sound strange? Maybe, but as a chronic pain sufferer I have found that getting lost in a diamond painting offers me a respite from feeling all the pain all the time. My pain doc says, whatever works!
