If you're as much of a Diamond Painting ADDICT as I am, odds are you have a ton of leftover diamonds just lying around taking up space.

Why not put those excess gems to use and create something beautiful? Get inspired by these wonderful DIY diamond creations submitted by members of our Facebook Support Group! We've compiled our 10 favorite entries below.

10. Create Diamond Bottle Art

"Found these small [bottles] and layered the colors," says Ashley Renaud. Not only that, but they can also double as Christmas ornaments! Just put a little hook in the top (use cork if you can) and hang them from your tree 🎄

9. DIY Your Own Christmas Ornaments

Speaking of Christmas, Stella Godinez created an entire Christmas tree's worth of Diamond Ornaments using her leftover drills. They really contrast well with the dark green of the tree!

If you'd rather someone else do the heavy lifting for you, head on over to Presley's Baubles and tell 'em Paint With Diamonds sent ya!

8. Build A Diamond Pen Holder

Ashley Cornelius used an old mason jar and leftover drills to create a gorgeous Diamond Pen Holder. Perfect if you have a lot of Diamond Pens piling up.

7. Decorate A Religious Ornament

Jennifer Wells decorated a cross using spare drills held on by Tacky Glue and sealed with Mod Podge. The end result is fantastic!

6. Make Use Of Old Needlepoint Grids

"Once I organized all my leftover diamonds, I found a needlepoint grid for a Christmas ornament," says Angie DeLuca. "Placed a piece of laminating paper upside down over grid paper and started counting."

"Once that was done I covered it all with Glossy Accents embellishing glue and when dry, cut away the excess laminating paper. Voila! Ready to be mounted on glitter paper so it can hang on the tree!"

5. Add Some Flair To Bland Decor

Lynn Fierro used her spare drills to glitter up a gift. "I blinged out this trailer decor for my friend’s birthday. I want to make myself one now too. Love it! $8 at Michaels. I just used double stick tape."

Danyele Hazel Atkins used her leftover drills to make a jewelry box for her mom's birthday. I bet she loved it!

4. Use Your Imagination

Kath Tuck created this gorgeous romantic display with pressed cardboard and double-sided sticky tape. "Very time consuming, but so worth it."

When it comes to creating your own art with spare drills, the sky is the limit! Consider using foam boards, cardboard, or other craft supplies to create your own blinged-out displays. Cheryl Katz decorated a plain old wooden "T" from the local craft shop to create a stunning result.

3. Put A Unique Spin On Stained Glass Art

Kassie Essen is putting a beautiful spin on stained glass art by using her leftover drills to color in her dragon. Such a fun spin on stained glass!

2. Bling Out Your Wardrobe

Janelle Scott added some color to her daughter's white shoes with a rainbow of different colors. It came out beautifully!

Pro Tip: If you do decide to decorate your shoes or other clothing with diamonds, make sure you use exceptionally strong glue. Otherwise you run the risk of diamonds flying off all over!

1. Give Yourself A Manicure

Samantha Boehm decided to accent her nails with different shades of blue diamonds. "All I did was paint my nails black top coat put the diamonds on while top coat was wet the two more top coats."

Beki Goulding opted for green over blue. "I found a use for my left over drills from a special shape project."

I use contact paper to make new pictures. I draw the picture I want and go from there. The contact is sticky enough to hold the diamond well. When finished I use modge podge to cover the front. Everything stays in place. Then frame as you wish.

What kind of glue works best when gluing a finished picture to canvas. I feel the 2 way tape won’t hold the heavy picture, also thi k in time the tape will let loose.

I use regular modge podge, just a little at a time, to attach the pieces to my craft. When the piece is covered, I cover it all with modge podge. I buy the little wooden crafts at the dollar tree and I paint them first. I’ve found out that the ornaments are way to heavy when they are filled. I’ve also separated the colors, doing football teams and college teams. I’m going to try to cover a picture that I colored in an adult coloring book. I don’t know how it will turn out. To be continued…..lol

The spares are piling up and these are all great ideas! I like the clear Christmas ornaments idea, and embellishing boxes, small objects. I have been dumping (unsorted) drills into a plastic zip bag once my projects have been completed, sealed and framed. Insofar as framing, I do buy custom frames online for the projects I want to keep and hang in my home, but for the ones I donate, I use the magnetic poster frames. I hot-glue the side edges to the back of the canvas, then trim the top and bottom smaller than the upper and lower frame pieces. I then hot-glue the front/back frame pieces in place, as some of the projects are large and can be quite heavy.

i frame my own pictures:1) i get some cardboard and measure my picture then cut the cardboard to its size 2)i take either gray or white duct tap and measure so only the picture is showing 3)then if needed i add more tape so it can be folded on to the cardboard then add whatever yarn that fits and wala home made frame. so far that’s the best way that works for me, good luck

Amazingly GREAT ideas! Having one of those ‘why didn’t I think of this’ moments! Also reminded me of some of the little wooden designs I recently purchased at the Dollar Store. These would be GREAT to cover in stones! Also, Amazon has oodles of small wooden butterflies, flowers, ornaments (Christmas, Easter, 4th of July etc). Would be fun to get those and cover them. Betting the butterflies would make pretty jewelry too, if small enough.

Here in the US you can buy plain sheets of the Diamond Dotz material with the adhesive but no picture. I just bought some online from JoAnn Fabrics (https://www.joann.com/diamond-dotz-12inx19in-fabric-roll-with-adhesive-or-printed-grid/17231564.html). They have several sizes and also sell the adhesive in a bottle that you can apply to anything with a brush. Not sure if they ship international. I sent a message to customerservice@needleartworld.com and they’re the ones who told me to check out JoAnns.
